Roof Deck Repair
Rotted Plywood Removed Before Dry-In
Once the existing concrete tile system was removed, every deteriorated section of plywood found during tear-off was cut out and replaced. The new underlayment was installed only after the roof deck was repaired and prepared.
Addressing the substrate first created a sound base for the direct-to-deck waterproofing layer and the new concrete tile assembly above it.

Polyglass Polystick TU Max Installation
Polystick TU Max was self-adhered directly to the repaired roof deck, with the installation carried through the roof perimeter and around penetrations before tile placement.
The completed direct-to-deck system was documented for the homeowner's wind-mitigation review as a sealed roof deck, also called secondary water resistance. That documentation supported the homeowner's related discount; a qualified inspector and the insurance carrier determine eligibility and the amount of any credit.

Thunderstorm Blend in the Windsor Slate Profile
The homeowner selected Crown Roof Tiles' Windsor Slate profile in Thunderstorm Blend. The flat-profile concrete tile was set with ICP tile adhesive foam across the prepared roof system.
The completed views show the dark blended field tile and matching hip and ridge treatment across the home's intersecting roof planes.
